Time to grab a set of needles and start yarn bending! This scarf is inspired by Avatar the Last Airbender.

Because it is double knit, the scarf is fully reversible with opposite color schemes on each side. You can see a video about how I do double knitting here.

You will need black light fingering weight yarn and size 2 knitting needles. For this scarf I used 1 skein of black Cascade Heritage- but I only had a few yards left, so you might want a spare skein unless you love playing Yarn Chicken. You will also need about 20 grams of 5 other colors- one color for each of the elements, and 1 white/light grey color for the Avatar State. The finished model scarf is 5.5” wide and 64” long.
