Yarn Bowl Alternative
This easy-to-make Yarn Bowl Alternative is cute and handy. It is completely portable and unbreakable. The pattern is written for two sizes: Small and Large.
The Yarn Bowl Alternative is simply a crocheted bag with a drawstring. The tassels are optional; directions are given for two finish options. Place your yarn inside the bag with your working end coming out of the top, and tie up the drawstring. Your yarn will feed out without rolling all over (functioning just like a yarn bowl does).
And if you prefer, the drawstring on the bag can be hung around your wrist. Now you’re fully self-contained, and can take your work with you anywhere.
I recommend any smooth-textured ACRYLIC yarn (wool is too “sticky” and may result in pilling) in any weight.
