A quick knit shorty sock that is perfect to wear all year round. The rolled cuff sits comfortably either above or below the ankle depending on the length of mini-leg you knit.

Initially, the garter stripes were meant as a bit of fun while knitting and to mix up the ‘vanilla’ nature of the sock. Amazingly, the little bit of garter makes these socks extra comfortable on the feet.

Though the design-pattern is simple in nature, all of my favorite tried-and-true tricks for making perfectly neat and tidy socks are included.
Trust me on this… the tips and tricks are everything. I’ve tried many sock methods and have had “oh no” moments and “oh yes!” discoveries. I love sharing the good stuff, it makes for more happy knitters.

CONSTRUCTION
Knit cuff down with a heel gusset and turn, and a classic wedge toe.
Simple to work garter rows flow from cuff to toe.
3 sizes available with the pattern adjusted to look the best on every foot.

YARN
Fingering weight sock yarn - any color or fiber blend you like.
The “suggested yarns” listed are just some of my favorites that are widely available. Stash dive for these, or support some of the amazing independent dyers out there.
The Medium size with a 9 inch foot uses 50g for the pair.

NEEDLES & GAUGE
2.25mm / US 1 or size needed for gauge
I prefer 32 inch (80cm) long circular for MagicLoop, but DPNs or short circulars are perfectly fine if that’s your favorite.

DIFFICULTY
Absolutely beginner sock-knitter friendly.
