Yellow Checks
A free version is also available.
• DESCRIPTION: Yellow Checks is a quick, cute pattern that makes a lovely open fabric. With the tilted blocks of double crochet there is a touch of whimsy in this functional but not boring washcloth.
The Yellow Checks Washcloth is the ninth in my Washcloth Collection.
Every other Saturday in 2021, I will release a washcloth pattern. Some will be lacy and light and some will be sturdy and dense. The first pattern of the month will typically, but not always, be free. The second will usually be paid.
At the end of the year, there will be an e-book for sale that contains all the patterns, plus 3 bonus patterns.
By the end of the year you will have a lovely collection of washcloths and you will probably have learned some new stitches!
• GAUGE & SIZING:
Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. For reference, mine had 3 blocks of DC and 8 rows per 4” This pattern is written to produce a washcloth roughly 10.5” by 10”.
• ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sp = space
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
* * = Repeat what is in asterisks the indicated number of times

About 120 yards of cotton or cotton blend yarn
(Such as Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran or Dishie from WeCrochet)
