Remember that old song? She wore an “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”? Well, here is one for your little beach bunny! Done in a 50’s style high waist panty and a halter top. So CUTE!

Pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes: 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. There are lots of photos to help you through everything. It is written for a bulky gauge (9 mm) punchcard knitting machine and ribber. If you don’t have a ribber you could just do the leg ribbing by hand if you want. Directions are given for a Brother Bulky gauge machine, but other brand bulky machines (Studio, Artisan, etc.) can be used - taking into account your terms and settings for your particular model. A scan of the polka dot punchcard is included for you to punch to use with your machine.

There are lots of yarns that you can use to knit this up on your bulky gauge machine. You are looking for that 18 sts per 4 inch gauge (US size 4). You will need (depending on the size you knit) approx. 190 - 240 yds. (but remember this is in 2 colors if you are knitting the polka dots!)

You will also need up to 18” of 3/8” elastic for the waist.
