Yemma's Dress
When I first designed this pattern for a dear friend’s baby girl, I planned to offer it for free. Unfortunately, her little Yemma was just diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. So instead of offering the pattern for free, ALL proceeds will be going to her family for her care. Thanks for your help!
(That’s Yemma, the cute blonde in the red one!)
Erratum: Under 2nd garter section, it should say PURL one round, then knit the increase round as set and purl another round (2 ridges total)
This is a sweet little baby/toddler/child dress pattern for advanced beginning knitters and basic sewists.
It’s the best of both worlds - sewing a bodice is a pain, and who wants to knit miles of skirt? I found I love buying fabric but I hate to actually sew, so this is an easy way to incorporate some cute fabrics into your knitting with minimal sewing.
Note: The gauge of 5 sts/in seems unusual for Shine Sport, but it tends to change to that after washing and wearing. I recommend that you wash your swatch to find out your final gauge
