Yeon is a humble tee with clever construction. Worked flat from side to side, and incorporating two different shaping methods at the shoulders for added intrigue, the two sleeve options offered in the pattern easily transform Yeon from tee to pullover. Exposed seams and Arbor yarn keep this better-than-basic garment feeling tailored and relaxed all in the same breath.
Construction
- Pieces are worked flat from side to side starting in the middle with a Provisional Crochet Cast On. Sides of front and back are joined using Modified Exposed Joinery Bind Off, and shoulders are sewn together. Sleeve stitches are then picked up from the live stitches and worked in the round to the cuffs.
- Pieces are shaped with a combination of Backward Loop Cast On and Short Rows: German Method.
- A circular needle is used on front and back to accommodate the large number of stitches.
- Two sleeve options are given.
