Yet Another Market Bag
Any worsted weight yarn will work fine for this. Cotton would work great. I made it in acrylic because I had lots of it in my stash. Gauge is not important. The entire project is worked in the round. The base is dc, the mesh is constructed of chains and sc, the top of the bag and the handles are sc.
Important! This is the first pattern I have ever written. If it’s confusing please let me know so I can correct it. Also, the pattern will not give you a set size, which is why I didn’t include yardage of yarn. It’s more of a method and you can adjust size based on what you want. I will say this, each row of the mesh section requires very little yarn. You can easily make this as a stash buster. For the base and handles you can switch colors for each round too if you’d like.
