My inspiration for this design is a beautiful motif used in ancient Turkish kilims (hand-made decorative carpets) called Yildiz.
The kilim ( hand-made carpet) is actually a success story that has withstood the passage of time. For centuries, kilims have told us the stories of those skilled hands who made them by weaving beautiful motifs in them.

The star motif is one of the most widely-used motifs in carpets and kilims. It symbolizes justice and freedom. Moreover, it has astrological significance in many cultures. It is a motif much loved and used in Anatolia. It also represents productivity. A star means light and light means intelligence, which leads to new ways of creating beauty in this world.

I have used worsted weight yarn with 5mm hook for this. You can use this pattern only to make unique pieces of art or mix in other patterns of your choice from the beautiful CAL, FATW6 Adventures in Mosaic Crochet which is currently being held in the group CAL-crochet along.
