YinYang is Donna’s 10th design in her popular Capelet Collection. This design plays with positive and negative space, ideas of balance and opposites resulting is a flowy, lacy mesh texture.
Expanding on the YinYang theme, Donna created a summer and winter version; the first in Malabrigo Verano, a hand-dyed pima cotton (light blue) and the newest in Trilogy’s Silk Yak DK a hand dyed blend of Superwash Merino, Yak and Silk with a subtle sheen (electric green).

YinYang Capalet is knit in one-piece from the top down. This design begins with ribbing at the neckline followed by vertical diamond shaped mesh motifs, created by using a combination of yarn-over increases and knit-2-together decreases. The capelet is finished with a ribbed bottom edge. For additional clarity the pattern is written out and charted.

YinYang is a one-size, however options are included for a wider or longer capelet, which will require additional yardage.

Yarn: Malabrigo Verano, Tradewinds 923, 205 yds/skein, 3 skeins (summer version).
Trilogy, Silky Yak DK, Electric Lime, 251 yds/skein. 3 skeins (winter version).

Needles: US 4 x16”, US 4 x 60” for ribbing and US 6 x 16”, 24”, 40” and 60” or size required to obtain gauge.
