YipYips - Hanging Martian
Prepare for take-off with this adorable YipYip Hanging Martain pattern!
I adored these intergalactic Martians as a kid, and now I’m thrilled to resurrect this nostalgic blast from the past with these whimsical space beings… Uh-huh!
The YipYip Hanging Martian is amigurumi confident beginner friendly (with the chance to try a new skill); however, you will need to have a basic understanding of crochet stitches and terminology.
This 7-page crochet pattern contains a detailed description of how to create these intergalactic creatures; with a list of necessary materials, step-by-step instructions, photos and a video link for a trickyish bit: if you choose to try it, to help along the way.
These Martians are approx. 20cm from hanging loop to tassel tentacles, and 8.5cm wide.
You could use a plushy yarn like Lionbrand Naptime (I used Mint/White), a 4mm hook and 14mm black safety eyes to make a bigger, softer YipYip.
Get on board and help these little creatures boldly go where no Yip Yip has gone before! This stellar design is an awesome gift or add it to your own collection.
