Ylst Poncho
This pattern is part of the forthcoming ebook: The Frisian Collection which contains 6 patterns. Have patience while I add patterns and get the ebook published…
Ylst was the home town of my ancestors. The Ylst poncho is the new fall must-have. Put it on over everything, dress, blazer, sweater…it’ll keep you warm and stylish. The straight oversized body is knit bottom-up, with a fun crisscross striping pattern to keep your attention. The bottom and side borders are knit in square rib, it has a scoop neck, slanted shoulders and buttons.
It looks lovely in the slightly variegated yarn, but solids, heathereds and tweeds would look fabulous as well! Or a lightweight mohair…
