About the design:

Simple and classic cardigan with raglan sleeves, worked from the bottom up.
The length of sleeves and body are easily adjustable.
The button bands are worked at the end. Note that there is a button hole at the neck band.
Children come in many sizes, even those of the same age. Thus always decide on size based on measurements, and not age alone.

Finished Measurements:

Sizes 2 (4) 6 (8) 10 Years.
Chest: Approx. 65 (68) 72 (76) 80 cm.
Body (length under sleeve): Approx. 25 (27) 30 (34) 36 cm.

Suggested yarn and yardage:

Yaku 100% merinould 200m/50g from Camarose
5 (5) 6 (6) 7 skeins.

Suggested needle size:

Double pointed needles 15 cm, size 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm.
Circular needle 60 - 80 cm, size 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm.

Notions:

2 short stitch holders, 4 markers, 5-7 buttons approx. 11-13 mm in diameter.

Gauge:

30 sts and 39 rows in pattern on size 3 mm needle = 10 X 10 cm.
