Yo-Yo Clown
This 15” tall adorable clown doll was inspired from a Yo-Yo Clown doll made of fabric yo-yos by my Grandma. Instead of making lots of circle yo-yos, I decided to make the body parts into long spirals that resembled the circles. (So much quicker to make!)
This pattern has separate instructions on how to make the doll on either the 4.5 mm Standard Gauge or the 9 mm Bulky gauge knitting machine.
The hair and head are also made on the machine, then a purchased face is hand-sewn into place.
The pom-poms are made with a pom-pom maker, which is available through craft suppliers.
NOTE – The pattern is shown with a 2.5-3” vinyl clown face, originally made in China. Other plastic, cloth or vinyl faces may be used, such as a hobo, Santa Claus, witch or baby or the crafter may draw, paint, appliqué or sew on facial features. See ‘For More Information’ for a link at the bottom of the page to purchase the clown face.
