i forgot to add that his smile is a simple chain stitch using black thread also the wrinkles on his forehead here are the instructions work a simple chain stitch from ear to ear (5 stitches above ears) now from the centre going towards his face work 5 or 6 chain stitches (see pics) now returning to the centre work another chain stitch at either side of the centre at a 45 degree angle.
