This is one of those oversize tops that you need to make using a super-soft draping yarn like Merino Cloud (which has 20% Cashmere and 80% Merino--no nylon or synthetic). Pure silk like Silk Day Dream is perfect too. It feels incredible to wear and accommodates many sizes.

Purchase 2 or more skeins of Merino Cloud in any of our Ombre Colors 701-712 or equivalent yardage in Artyarns yarn from your Artyarns re-seller to receive a coupon code from the shop which will make your pattern completely FREE. New purchases only!

The smaller sizes can be made with 2 skeins total (1 in each of 2 colors). I used our new ombre colors, 710 and 712, starting from darkest to lightest on both. I love the shading and color changes in these.

This is a top-down design with a scoop neckline and i just updated it to include a high neckline (shown in the pink red) option. It is easy to knit, since it uses a simple lace pattern and m1 increases are worked in between the lace repeats in the yoke. Once the sleeves are separated the easy striping pattern is worked in stockinette in the round (knit every round). The best of all is how wonderful it feels to wear it especially this time of year when you want something loose and lively to wear. Enjoy.
