This is a large, triangular shaped shawl with a beautiful lace border with a little bit of cabling.

The design of the shawl was inspired by the Japanese Magnolia tree just before the leaf buds open and the tree stands beautiful with long leafless branches carrying these incredibly beautiful tulip-like flowers.
It’s so beautiful… delicate but strong at the same time.
These trees and flowers, for me, have always been a symbol of true love.

The pattern contains both charted and written instructions.

Measurements:
These are the exact measurements of the emerald green sample shawl measured after blocking (relaxed):
Length from neck down approx. 102 cm (40.2 inches) Width/wingspan approx. 203 cm (79.9 inches)

Please use these measurements only as a guide - the finished shawl size of your shawl might vary depending on gauge and yarns used for the shawl.

You can easily make this shawl smaller or larger by adding or omitting repeats in the pattern - choosing a different weight yarn will also affect the size of the finished shawl.
