To knit this top you need to know how to cast on stitches with any method, to knit, purl, and work flat as well as in the round, to make increases knitting in the front and back of the same stitch and with the “make one away” technique (the one most commonly used to cast on stitches at the underarm, also known as the backwards loop method), to pick up stitches, to make decreases, and to perform an i-cord bind-off.
CONSTRUCTION
This top is knit top-down. First the neckline is worked flat, then closed in the round and worked until all shoulder increases have been made. Then front and back are split again and worked flat until the underarms to shape the armholes. Finally, front and back are joined to continue working the body in the round. At the end, stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes to finish them with an i-cord. It is worked seamlessly, all in one piece. It is worked in stockinette stitch.

Select the size that is closest to your bust measurement (or the widest measurement of your upper body) plus 6 o 10 cm + 2.25 o 4” depending on how much positive ease you want.
GAUGE
22 stitches and 30 rounds in 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch, without blocking.
YARN
2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins of Tweedy by Hedgehog Fibres (50% Falkland Merino, 37.5% Recycled Wool, 12.5% HHF Thread Waste; 230 m / 100 g; 250 yd / 3.52 oz).
The colourways used are B0622 (light grey) and Soot (dark grey).
NEEDLES
3.75 mm US 5 circular needles, with a cable length of 40 cm 16” for the neckline and 80 cm 32” for the body, or the required needle size to obtain gauge (without blocking). 3.5 mm US 4 circular needles, with a cable length of 20 cm 8” or shorties, to finish neckline and armholes.
OTHER NOTIONS
1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round, 2 stitch markers for the shoulder increases. Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer este top es necesario saber tejer punto del derecho y del revés, tejer en circular y en plano, montar puntos mediante cualquier método, realizar aumentos tejiendo puntos por delante y por detrás, realizar aumentos al aire para las sisas, realizar disminuciones, remontar y retomar puntos y cerrar puntos con i-cord.
CONSTRUCCIÓN
Este top tiene una construcción top-down, es decir se empieza tejiendo por el escote en plano, cerrando en circular el cuello y continuando hasta acabar los aumentos de los hombros. Después se tejen por separado el delantero y el trasero de nuevo en plano para dejar el hueco de las sisas y finalmente se vuelven a unir delantero y trasero para a partir de este punto continuar tejiendo el cuerpo en circular. A continuación, se retoman las sisas y el escote y se cierran con i-cord. Se realiza de una sola pieza, sin ninguna costura. Se teje en punto jersey.
