Using the wonderful technique of mosaic knitting or slip stitch knitting, this hat is much easier than the intricate pattern implies! Worked up in bulky yarn, this toque has the perfect squish and slight bit of slouch. It will be your go to winter item!

Gauge: 16 st x 30 rows = 4”x4” 
Swatch done in garter stitch on 10.5 size needles.
Difficulty:
Intermediate
Knowledge of color changes, slip stitch, and working in the round is required. Changing color mid row or during a row is not needed for this pattern.

2 colors Bulky (5 weight) yarn, Color A (gray) was one skein of Color Made Easy by Lion Brand and Color B was a partial skein of Red Heart Gemstone in Fire Agate.
Size 9 and size 10.5 16” circular needles and size 9 DPN’s for binding off the end of your hat
Darning needle
Scissors
Favorite cup of tea or coffee to enjoy while you relax.

Notes:
ALWAYS slip stitches with your yarn held in back (wyib).
When changing colors at the beginning of your row, twist your two yarn colors together to prevent a gap between your starting stitches.
