After designing my heart lace pattern, I wanted to make a cap sleeve tee. With the love and encouragement of my family and friends, I worked on my samples. I then wrote and edited this knitting pattern so that others can also make this top. I named it “You Are Loved” with the intention of reminding myself and everyone else that we are loved. The current climate of politics in my country and the discussions about racism in the knitting/Ravelry community has pushed me to spend time writing this pattern to show that People of Color are just as creative and capable as anyone else. This would not have been possible without my wonderful friends who test knitted and helped me with their comments and suggestions!

This tee is knitted in the round from the bottom up. There is no seaming required. The hem edging, cap sleeve edges, and the neckband are knitted in a few rows of seed stitch. The heart lace is along the bottom of this shirt. There is an eyelet row at the bottom as well as two eyelet rows on the yoke.

Finshed Sizes: No ease at the bust and about 1” ease at hem.

♥225/250/275/300/325 g = 900/1000/1100/1200/1300 yds = 825/900/1000/1100/1200 m of Asylum Fibers Twisted sock yarn or any fingering weight yarn
♥US 1 or 2.25mm circular knitting needles (32”/81 cm length) or size needed to obtain gauge

♥Yarn needle

Gauge: 26 sts x 36 rows = 4”/10 cm knitted in stockinette (blocked)
