"You are my Sunshine"
This is an easy baby blanket, suitable for beginners. It’s a great place to start color work and reading charts, instructions for how to do it are enclosed.
At the same time, there is enough action in it to keep an experienced knitter from being bored.
To make a baby blanket use soft, thick yarn (like Lion brand homespun) and needles #15US (9mm).
Use the same chart for a stroller blanket, with needles #7US (5mm) and thin yarn (like Bernat baby coordinator).
You can use your yarn stash and change yarns midway when you run out, as long as you keep with the same thickness.
I love this pattern - it’s fun, easy, and very satisfying as it knits so fast. It took me 5 hours to knit (both blankets take the same time as its the same number of sts).
Includes a chart with few notes to go along it.
Knitted in St.st, with crochet border (but you can knit any border you choose).
You will need 8 colors, 55yards/50m (or less) of each, for the picture itself without the border.
