I love cosy knits and as it’s been so cold lately, I needed a warm (but quick) knit to snuggle up in when out on walks with the family. If you know me, you’ll know I try to use as much colour as possible in everything I make and so I grabbed some of my scrappy bobbins and a skein of suri alpaca silk blend to make this soft, squishy cowl. Super straightforward but still fun because of all the colours, you’ll whizz through this make and be warm in no time.

When I made mine, I only worked the rib for the first and last colour and unfortunately it made the edges of the cowl flip over a bit, so I’ve changed the pattern so that you work the rib over two colours at each end instead. This should give it a better edging.

Materials
15 x 5g scrappy bobbins of 4 ply/fingering weight yarn – I used my own (HennyPennyMakes) hand dyed standard sock (5g = approx 20m)

1 x 50g skein of undyed suri alpaca and silk (50g = approx 300m) - you can substitute an equivalent lace weight yarn such as a kid mohair and silk blend with similar yardage

5.5 mm circular needles (40cm length)
