The You Grow Girl Pot pattern is a beginner level pattern that uses single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch and a crab stitch. The crab stitch is simply a reverse single crochet that is very easy to accomplish even though it isn’t a common stitch. It gives the plant pot the unique bumps at the top and is worth learning.

You’ll need approximately 20 yards of super bulky yarn and a 6.5mm crochet hook, a darning needle and if you decide to add a leather patch to the front you’ll also need size 3 crochet thread. The glass container that the plants are potted in and that you’ll be covering is a glass Yoplait Oui Yogurt Container.

The pattern includes a code for a FREE download of the You Grow Girl Graphic if you want to add a label to your plant pot. You can sell finished pieces, but please don’t distribute the pattern or alter it in any way. A handwritten card with the phrase You Grow Girl! is a simply way to brighten someone’s day without the extra time and expense of leather labels.
