This is a pattern to knit a hat shaped like an octopus. You start at the tentacles and work up to the crown of the hat, the eyes are added on separately at the end.

You will need two colours of yarn - a main colour (King Cole Riot DK in ‘cool’ in the main photo) and a contract colour (pale yellow, random DK from stash).

The pattern is written to give an adult S/M hat, to make larger/smaller use a larger/smaller needle otherwise you’ll need to tinker with a lot of the numbers!
