This pumpkin is knitted in the round. The pattern is an 8 stitch, 8 round repeat.
For the size of the finished pumpkin of 9 cm and diameter 16 cm, the 8 stitch chart is knitted 10 times per round and the 8 rounds are knitted for a total of 6 times with additional 4 rounds, which means you will be knitting a total of 52 rounds.
For larger or smaller sizes, you can adjust the number of pattern repeats, taking into account that the final number of stitches should be a multiple of 8 for symmetry.

Color B: 10 g (oz), 26.6 m (29 yd), 1 skein

The sample shown in the photos is knitted using Grundl Lisa Premium uni in Color A: red (12-Signalrot) and Color B: green (16-Tannen grün).

Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7) circular (40cm/16″) or set of appropriate DPNs (double-pointed needles)

Pillow stuffing material, scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, and row counter are recommended.
Piece of a branch or cinnamon stick for decorating the top of the finished pumpkin.
