YUKON newborn shorts
This pattern is designed as photo prop.
Shorts are knitted top down, mainly in rounds on double pointed needles as one piece as much as possible (to avoid sewing pieces together).
Size: newborn
(up to 1 month old baby)
Materials used:
Yarn: lace weight, I have used Alize Angora Gold 550m/100g
Needles: 3US, 3.25mm DPNs and circular 32”
Tapestry needle
Skill level required: Intermediate
CO = long tail Cast On method
K = knit stitch
P = purl stitch
P1o = P1 over the slipped stitches (insert the right-hand needle into the next st on the left-hand needle, but before working it, take the right-hand needle under the 2 slipped treads, then pull all sts together)
K2tog = knit 2 stitches together
RS = right side of work
WS = wrong side of work
wyif = with yarn in front of work
sts = stitches
BO = stretchy bind off
Gauge: 28sts x 36rows for 10cm x10cm
