Intermediate: pattern reading skills

One side of shawl is increased while the opposite side is worked straight.
Stripes of color, diagonal rib, and garter stitch keep the knitting interesting in the asymmetrical shawl. Multi-colored fringed, and an attached I-cord edge, provide a nice finish.

Width along top edge 41in/104cm.
Length from top edge to tip, measured along straight edge (approx) 55in/140cm.

MATERIALS
• 3 x 50g hanks of Mirasol Sulka Nina in color 7128 Goldenrod (A).
• 2 x 50g hanks of Mirasol Sulka Nina in color 7133 Cornsilk (B).
• 3 x 50g hanks of Mirasol Sulka Nina in color 7124 Driftwood (C).
• Size US 4/3.5mm circular needle, 32in/80cm long or size to obtain gauge.
• Size E-4/3.5mm crochet hook (for attaching fringe).
• Cable needle.
GAUGES
• 22 sts and 42 rows to 4in/10cm over garter st (blocked) using size US 4/3.5mm needle.
• 24 sts and 35 rows to 4in/10cm over diagonal rib (blocked) using size US 4/3.5mm needle.
