Zazzle came about when I found myself wanting to offer a bulky stranded hat kit at the yarn shop I own. I needed a pattern that made smart use of the yarn so I could create kits that would be reasonably priced for customers, considering I wanted to use some of the squishiest, most lovely yarns I had in stock. I didn’t find a pattern I liked, so I decided to create my own!

Color/Yarn requirements:

Main Color: 50% of a 100 gr. skein (50-60 yards)
Color Changes 1, 2 & 3: 10% of a 100 gr. skein for EACH color (10-15 yards, each color)

The sample hat was knit in Tundra. This pattern is currently offered for free to in-person customers at Stranded Yarn and Coffee in Midland, Michigan, as part of a kit.

To allow for the chart to be easily read by those who are colorblind, a different symbol has been associated with each color.
