Zeal refers to an eagerness for a quick project with the fun of stranded knitting. This beanie is a perfect way to sample one of my patterns and matches perfectly with the cowl Zest.

Yarn requirements:
1 bal multicolor sockyarn with long color repeats (such as Scheepjes Invicta Colour, Schoppel Zauberbal or Lang Yarns Jawoll Magic) - the sample used about 30 grams
1 bal solid/variegated sockyarn (in both examples, I used Schachenmayr Regia All Times Color) - the sample used about 20 grams

For the background color you can also use handpainted sockyarn, like in the blue sample. Make sure that there aren’t too many colors in one skein and that they are fairly close to each other on the color wheel. Otherwise the background will be very ‘noisy’ and draw attention away from the pretty stitch pattern.

Benodigde wol:
1 bol meerkleurige sokkenwol met een lang kleurverloop of een mooie streng handgeverfde sokkenwol en 1 bol effen/mêlee sokkengaren (het voorbeeld gebruikte ca. 30 gram voor de achtergrondkleur en ca. 20 gram voor de patroonkleur)

Voor de achtergrondkleur kun je ook handgeverfde sokkenwol gebruiken, zoals in het blauwe voorbeeld. Let er dan wel op dat er niet te veel verschillende kleuren gebruikt zijn en dat deze dicht bij elkaar liggen op de kleurencirkel, zodat het niet te druk wordt en de patroonkleur er goed bij afsteekt.
