With the help of this written crochet pattern you’ll be able to make your own cute zebra, 4-way jointed using plastic doll joints (or buttons and thread), with moving arms and legs.
Includes one PDF file, 21 pages.
Pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. I included detailed instructions, many step-by-step photos and useful tips and tricks.
SIZE
32 cm (12 1/2”) including ears, when crocheted with DK weight alpaca and wool blend and a 2,50 mm hook.
DIFFICULTY
3: Intermediate – includes some less common crochet techniques and color changes.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Crocheting in spiral
- Crocheting in rounds
- Slip stitch and single crochet stitch
- Increasing and decreasing
YOU WILL NEED
- Yarn. I used Lana Gatto ‘Super Aplaca’, a DK weight alpaca and wool blend, 115 m = 50 g (126 yd = 50 g) / 8 ply / 11 wpi / 3: light. You will need about 60 g of white and 50 g of black yarn.
- 2,50 - 3,00 mm crochet hook (US size 2/C - 3/D).
- Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding etc. for stuffing.
- 12 mm (1/2”) safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt etc.
- Two 20 mm (4/5”) and two 25 mm (1”) doll joints or safety eyes or buttons and thread.
- White cotton embroidery floss.
- Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
