Instant digital download of a PDF crochet pattern for you to create your own adorable amigurumi zebra soft toy. The pattern tutorial will be available to download after purchase, and contains a detailed description of how to crochet your toy with simple step-by-step instructions and plenty of photos. The pattern is available with either UK/Aus or US crochet terms.
Only basic crocheting skills are required (if you are a complete beginner you can find plenty of video tutorials for all of the required stitches online):
• Chain
• UK double crochet / US single crochet
• Slip stitch
• Increasing and decreasing
• Magic ring (or your preferred alternative)
• Changing colour
• Sewing pieces together & sewing on details (e.g. face details)
I use DK/light-worsted acrylic yarn and a 3mm hook for a 23cm/9” long toy, but you you can change the toy size with different yarn weights and hook sizes (e.g. Aran/Worsted yarn and a 3.5mm hook will give a 28cm toy).
You will need:
• DK/light-worsted yarn in black and white (I prefer to work with acrylic rather than cotton, and my favourite brands are Stylecraft Special DK, Scheepjes Colour Crafter and Paintbox Simply DK) - you shouldn’t need more than 50g/90m/100yds of the main colour and a small amount for the accent colours
• 3mm crochet hook (for DK yarn)
• High-loft polyester stuffing
• Yarn/tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Round-headed pins (recommended to help with positioning parts before sewing)
Level: Basic
Language: English
