zeil
“Zeil” (pronounced “zehl”) is Dutch for “sail,” something suggested by this shawl’s right-triangular shape and wavy edge.
The twisted-stitch pattern on the body of this shawl was my attempt to replicate the effect of windowpane tweed fabric with equal subtlety.
