Do you want the ease of a hood without the bulk of a sweatshirt? Now, you can make your own hooded cowl that’s not only warm but thin and flexible enough to tuck into the collar of any coat.

The Zelda Hooded Cowl Easy Crochet Pattern uses sock weight yarn to make a sleek hooded cowl that bends like fabric but will keep the chill out. The pattern makes a finished piece that’s one size fits most adults but with plenty of notes included so you can easily adjust the width and height of either the cowl section or the hood (or both!) to your preference.

The pattern calls for approximately 550 yards of a sock weight yarn in the fiber of your choice to make a finished piece with a cowl portion that is about 25.5” around and 7.5” tall and a hood portion that is about 17” across and 11.25” tall. Other necessary items are a US-F hook, tapestry needle, and scissors.

Grab some beautiful sock yarn and make your own Zelda Hooded Cowl that’s sure to turn heads.
