Zelda's BotW Style Chuchu
This is a beginner amigurumi pattern for Chuchu, the enemy in Zelda’s Breath of the Wild video game.
For most of the Chuchus I used a 3.25mm hook and medium weight yarn. For the White (Ice) Chuchu I also used Bernat’s pipsqueak (bulky) yarn and a 5mm hook but if you don’t want to use that, you can simply make a white version of the blue chuchu. If you want a monster Chuchu, size up your hook and yarn. The colours you choose will designate which Chuchu you are making.
Blue Chuchu – MC light blue, C2 red, C3 yellow
Red (Fire) Chuchu – MC red, C2 dark orange, C3 yellow, C4 bright orange
Green (Electric) Chuchu – MC bright green, C2 dark green
White (Ice) Chuchu – MC white pipsqueak yarn, C2 medium dark orange, C3 medium light blue
You will also need a tapestry needle, fibre fill, and some scissors. For the Red Chuchu you will also need a wire pet brush.
You will need to know Magic Ring (MR), Chain, (CH), Fasten Off (FO), Single Crochet (SC), Slip Stitch (sl), Increase (INC), and Decrease (DEC).
As with all my patterns, if you want to re-post this pattern please link back to my site. Use it how you like, but please give me credit for the work I put in coming up with it. And I’d love to see what you make, so post photos! Thank-you.
