Autumn – my favourite time of year, the turning of the seasons. It’s a magical time and I can’t imagine living anywhere where you can’t see this happen.
The colours, the cooler but still warm days. The smell of winter in the air, the promise of more, the slowing down of life,

Zephyr is a light airy, layering, asymmetrical shawl. Perfect to wear in the light winds of autumn. Inspired by colour, designed to be fun.
Zephyr, is named after the Greek God of the west wind, Zephyrus. West winds are prevalent in Tasmania.
SIZE
160cm (63“) cast off edge x 180cm (71”) along straight edge, after blocking.
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
5.5mm/ US#9 needle on a 90cm/36” cord,

GAUGE
Gauge knitted on 5.5mm needles. Measurements over 10cm/4”
19 sts x 32 rows - garter stitch
21 sts x 30 rows – slip stitch
14 sts x 24 rows – eyelet lace
YARN
1 x 100g skein of fingering weight,
Bombed Yarns Atomic Base, 100% High Twist Super Wash Merino. 366m (400 yds) per 100g. Bombed Gold colourway.
2x 25g Drops Kid-Silk yarn, 210 (230 yds) per 25g. Colour 29
mohair is held double throughout the pattern.
