Zephyros is the ancient Greek name for the west wind ☀ , which generally light and beneficial. It has evolved into “zephyr” which denotes a soft gentle breeze
and is the name for any prevailing warm and gentle westerly breeze at the time of the summer solstice.☀
The Zephyros pullover is delightfully light, fluffy, and soft, and have the distinction of being knit of pure, humanely harvested French angora. A wonderful luxury to knit for for yourself, or to give as a gift.
This pullover is worked in one piece from the top down with round yoke shaping. Short-row shaping is used to raise the back neck and to extend the lower back. The sleeves are worked in the round from the top down. The Pure Angora yarn does most of the visual work in the top-down, seamless pullover, giving a beautiful cosy effect with a fluffy halo. The boxy pullover calls for a waste yarn tubular cast-on method, German Short rows, Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Bind Off method.
