Zephyros Shawl
Zephyros is the Spring Wind in Greek Mythology, the wind of change. Welcome the new life of spring with this clean-lined shawl. Solid enough to keep the chill off on a spring morning, but elegant and interesting to knit, with the wind theme echoed throughout.
This pattern was released March 1st as part of the Change of Seasons Shawl Club from Wooly Wonka Fibers, and released separately as a stand alone pattern on April 1st through MimKnits.com online shop.
Pattern Includes: charts and text translations of charts
Stitches Used: knit, purl, k2tog, p2tog, yo, ssk, p2tog through the back loop, sl1 k2tog psso, wrap & turn short rows.
Other Details: This shawl is worked from the neck down, beginning with a provisional cast on, from which a small section of border is worked. Stitches are picked up on the side of the flap (and live stitches from the provisional cast on, which gives live stitches on 3 sides. The border stitches continue in both directions while the shawl body stitches grow from the side of the flap. The shaping of the shawl is created using 4 yarn overs on every right side row. As it gets larger each row also gets longer than the last.
