An intriguing scarf to carry you through the seasons ~ the perfect accessory. The leaf stitch pattern creates beautifully scooped edged that add to the airy feel of this scarf.
The short version creates a perfect neckpiece or headband; a longer version can wrapped, be worn long, flowing backwards, doubled, tucked, interlaced - so many options!
Yarn
104 (208)yds / 95 (190)m DK yarn; sample in Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo (104 yds / 95m per 1.75oz / 50g ball; 80% bamboo / 20% wool): Willow #133.
Gauge
25 sts and 36 rows = 4” / 10cm in Stockinette stitch.
Row Gauge Note: The Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo relaxes a lot when blocked and hung. It had a “right off the needle row gauge” of 36 rows = 4” / 10cm but a blocked and hung gauge of 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm, hence the approximate length given at the beginning; it will stretch as you wear it.
Notions
Large-eyed needle to weave in ends.
Skills
Knit, purl, yo, k2tog, k3tog, slip stitch, ssk, sk2p.
Notes
Both written and charted directions included.
