“Zick Zack” is an asymmetrical shawl with an unusual shape, knit in a simple stitch pattern which decorates the entire width of the shawl.
The shawl is finished with I-cord borders for a tailored look.
You start knitting from the narrow tip of the shawl, so it can be made as long or as short as you want, depending on how much yarn you have!

Finished measurements:
200 cm – 78 ¾ in along the longer side and 138 cm – 54 ½ in along the shorter side (after blocking).

Yarn and needles:
ITO Shio: 582 Lemon (Lace weight yarn; 100% Wool: 480 m – 525 yds / 40 gr – 1.41 oz. cone): 2 cones (780 m – 854 yds);
ITO Sensai: 306 Lemon (Lace weight yarn; 60% Mohair and 40% Silk: 240 m – 262 yds / 20 gr – 0.71 oz. ball): 4 balls (780 m – 854 yds).
These two yarns are worked together.
Needles size 4.5 mm – US 7. If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
Tapestry needle and scissors.
Pins and a tape measure for blocking.

Gauge:
15 sts and 25 rows = 10 cm – 4 in in lace stitch (after blocking).

“Zick Zack” è uno scialle asimmetrico con una forma inconsueta.
È lavorato con un semplice motivo che lo decora in tutta la sua ampiezza.
Si rifinisce con un bordo ad I-cord che gli dona un aspetto più curato.
Si incomincia a lavorare da una punta, per cui sarà possibile realizzarlo in varie misure, a seconda della disponibilità di filato!

Misure finite:
200 cm lungo il lato più lungo e 138 cm lungo il lato più corto (dopo il bloccaggio).

Filato e ferri:
ITO Shio: 582 Lemon (100% lana: 480 m per cono da 40 gr): 2 coni (780 m);
ITO Sensai: 306 Lemon (60% mohair e 40% seta: 240 m per gomitolo da 20 gr): 4 gomitoli (780 m).
I due filati sono lavorati insieme.
Ferri numero 4.5 mm. Se necessario, modificare il numero dei ferri per ottenere il campione corretto.

Ago da lana e forbici.
Spilli e metro da sarta per il bloccaggio.

Campione:
15 m × 25 f = 10 cm lavorati a punto pizzo (dopo il bloccaggio).
