ENGLISH PATTERN
My ZIG ZAG beret, is a basque hat, very funny and easy to work; perfect for using leftover yarns!
It fits an adult size (S, M). It is optimized for a head circumference of 20.5 inches 52 cm – Size S, and for a head circumference of 21.7 inches 55 cm – Size M.
It’s easily adaptable to any sizes and in the pattern there are indications to make it in any size.
In the pattern you can find written instructions, charts and photos.
The pattern uses American crochet terms.

Yarn:
For the PURPLE/LILAC beret (SIZE S):
Yarn: - CABLE’ 2005 from SESIA 100% Mercerized cotton; weight per ball: 50 g (1.76 ounces), yardage per ball: 135 metri (148 yds) - n. 1 ball (colour Lilac)
- DROPS COTTON VISCOSE from Garnstudio 54% Viscose, 46% Cotton; weight per ball: 50 g (1.76 ounces), yardage per ball: 110 metri (120 yds) - n. 1 ball (colour Purple)

For the RAINBOW beret (SIZE M):
Yarn: - CABLE’ 2005 from SESIA 100% Mercerized cotton; weight per ball: 50 g (1.76 ounces), yardage per ball: 135 metri (148 yds) - a few grams for each color.
The sequence of colors used is: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue, Purple, Fuchsia, Pink; the colour was changed at each round of the pattern.

For both sizes you need about a total of 100 g (3.5 ounces)

Tools:
Suggested hooks: 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, depending on the different parts of the pattern, scissors, needle for weaving ends

MODELLO IN ITALIANO
Il basco ZIG ZAG è un cappello molto divertente e facile da lavorare, perfetto per smaltire avanzi di filati!
Le istruzioni sono scritte per due taglie (adulte): S (circonferenza della testa di 52 cm) ed M (circonferenza della testa di 55 cm).
È facilmente adattabile a taglie diverse e nel modello ci sono le indicazioni per poterlo adattare.
Nel modello ci sono le istruzioni scritte per tutti i passaggi, compresi gli schemi dei punti usati e alcune foto per capire meglio il lavoro.

Materiali:
Per il cappello VIOLA/LILLA (realizzato in taglia S) sono stati utilizzati i filati:

• CABLE’ 2005 di SESIA 100% Cotone mercerizzato (gomitoli da 50 g per circa 135 m) – n. 1 gomitolo Lilla
• DROPS COTTON VISCOSE di Garnstudio 54% Cotone, 46% Viscosa (gomitoli da 50 g per circa 110 m) - n. 1 gomitolo Viola

Per il cappello nei colori dell’ARCOBALENO (realizzato in taglia M) è stato utilizzato il filato:
- CABLE’ 2005 di SESIA 100% Cotone mercerizzato (gomitoli da 50 g per circa 135 m) – pochi grammi per ciascun colore.
La sequenza dei colori utilizzati è: Rosso, Arancio, Giallo, Verde, Turchese, Blu, Viola, Fucsia, Rosa; ad ogni giro del modello è stato cambiato il colore.

Per entrambe le taglie del basco servono circa 100 g complessivi di filato.

Strumenti:
Uncinetti da 3,0 mm, 3,5 mm e 4,0 mm a seconda delle diverse parti del modello, forbici, ago da lana per nascondere I fili di lavorazione.
