0-3 (3-6, 6-12 months, 1-3 years, 3-5 years)
Actual finished circumference: 33(38,41,43, 46)cm/13 (15,16,17, 18) inches
These sizes are the “unstretched” sizes – the hat will stretch to fit average size heads in the age range.

YARN
You can use any sport/5ply weight yarn that knits to the stated gauge
For my sample I used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino

Quantity:
Each hat takes less than 1 x 50g (125m) ball of each colour (main colour = Shade A; contrast colour = Shade B)

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Suggested needles: Sizes 3.00(US2½) and 3.25mm (US3) DPNs (or your preferred needles for knitting in the round)
Large sewing needle

GAUGE
25sts and 34rows over 10cm (4”) in stocking stitch using 3.25mm (US3) needle
