The mittens are knit from the cuff to tip, grafting the top, and leaving the thumb for later with the thumb trick. The cuff and mitten back are decorated with Elsebeth Lavold’s continuous cables.

You can fit another pair of mitts or mittens on under these mittens, because the cuffs are looser than usual, you can also fit them over a sweater or jacket sleeve.

Your fingers will have to stay on their toes when you work the chevrons, because there are 3 different grounds; garter, reverse stockinette, and stockinette. Since these are continuous cables, they also have increases and decreases to remember. But your fingers love to dance, so that’s not a problem.
