Zima Shawl is a beginner friendly project which incorporates only double crochet, chaining and skipping stitches. Simple pattern repeat lets you adjust the size of the shawl. You can decide when to stop and how big your shawl will be.

I used Lion Brand Pound of love but you can most definitely use any kind of yarn. In order to get the fabric to drape nicely I highly recommend using a size or two bigger crochet hook than it is stated on the yarn label.

This pattern would work beautifully with self striping yarn as well.
