This is part pattern, part explanation of how to make the bonnet in the February chapter of Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Knitting Almanac. She does not give a pattern for the bonnet itself, but goes on to describe how to make one that has a long yoke that will keep baby warm. You will need the Knitter’s Almanac (available at a good price online) to complete this design. It will be time and money well spent, especially if you take time to read the whole thing through!
