The pictures at left show both variations with much better photography than I managed. The solid-color ones show Variation 1, the vareigated show Variation 2.

The needles and yarn listed are the ones I used; this is a very basic lace-ish pattern, so you can choose your own yarn and needles for any effect you like! In its current iteration, this is intended to use the same size needles as the hat currently codenamed Green Death Flavor, with much lighter yarn, for a lacy effect with little effort.
