Are you ready for a little fun? This pattern is a recipe-style pattern for video-call knitting. After you determine your circumference, cast on your stitches, and work the edge, the rest of the pattern is determined by fate.

A solid, slightly tonal, or gradient yarn will show off the pattern best, but what do I know? Maybe you want a widely variegated yarn to hide the memories of these virtual visits! Do what you find satisfying.

This pattern is meant to entertain and keep your fingers busy while you communicate virtually. No two cowls will be the same!

Finished Size: approx. 22” (56 cm) circumference (adjustable)—The length is also fully adjustable. Make it as long as you want it to be. I suggest at least 12” (30 cm) for fingering weight yarn.

Materials:
• Fingering weight yarn, 1 skein, approx. 400 yds (366 m)
• US Size 3 (3.25 mm) 16-20” (41-51 cm) circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch marker, locking stitch marker, and a tapestry needle
• 6/0 seed beads and 1 mm crochet hook

Gauge: 26 sts = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, blocked—While gauge is not critical, it will affect the size of the cowl and the yardage required.
