A tribute to that amazing dizzying habit that sight hounds have, of running around very fast in quite tight circles!
This is a quick and versatile knit, ideal to make a last minute, easy to post gift, or for trying out stranded colour work knitting.
It can be filled with dried lavender and popped in wardrobes and drawers to smell sweet and discourage moths. Crafters can keep one in their project bags, doubling up as a needle/pin holder. Left unstuffed with a stiff insert, it would make a great coaster ( you could make a set in different colours! ) The pattern could easily be converted into a small drawstring pouch, ideal for keeping EarPods or tiny treasures safe.
Leftovers from other projects ( 4 ply ) in highly contrasting colours, are all that is needed to knit this sachet. You could use just two colours, or work the border with a third colour, as I did in the example. The sachet weighs less than 1/4 oz before stuffing, so amounts needed are very small.
I added a bead for the eye and beads in the centres of the border diamonds, but this is entirely optional.
The sachet is approximately 3” square after blocking, when knitted on 1.75 mm needles. Larger needles will make the sachet slightly larger.
