Finished Size 37 (39, 43, 47 1/2, 51 1/2, 55 1/2)“ bust circumference. Cardigan shown measures 39”, modeled with 2” of positive ease.
Yarn Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted (100% wool; 220 yd 201 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): #12501 oatmeal heather (MC), 7 (7, 8, 9, 9, 10) skeins; #12503 charcoal heather (CC1) and #12182 gold spice (CC2), 1 skein each.
Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm): straight. Size 4 (3.5 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); waste yarn for marking pocket; tapestry needle.
Gauge 23 sts and 29 rows = 4” in St st on larger needle.
The Zuni Cardigan features sparse colorwork stripes and a touch of texture thanks to rows of small bobbles. From the fold-back cuffs to the shawl collar, this cardigan feels like the sweater you grabbed from your grandpa’s closet, but with a less bulky, more fitted silhouette.
