This scarf seems to be alive. It’s like it’s always waving and it never lays flat completely. The trick is done by groups of incs and decs. They make this lengthwise knitted scarf (or cowl!) interesting to knit and to wear. Still Zwiebel is a quick and easy knit.

The pattern has instructions for a scarf or cowl. The scarf version is worked lengthwise, the cowl in the round.
The pattern tells you how to make the scarf/cowl longer or shorter without changing the stitch pattern.
Knitters may follow the written pattern or the chart.

Both the English and the Dutch version have been test knitted.

The scarf is not exactly reversible, but the pattern looks good on both sides.
