12 Elegant Days of Baubles features 12 quick and fun baubles perfect for gifting or decorating your own tree. A variety of techniques ensures that you can use this pattern on different types of yarn - from commercial, to hand dyed, to handspun. I knit my samples using Marianated Yarns Quintessa Sparkle, a luscious single ply merino with a hint of silver stellina for added dazzle.

Part 1:
Day 1 is a textured cozy intended to be your swatch project. For best results, it should be worked first. If you find that the row or stitch gauge is off, or you do not like the fabric that is produced, adjust your needle size to knit the remaining bauble covers.

Day 2 mixes cables and lace to produce pure elegance.

Day 3 features a vintage Selbu stranded motif.

Day 4’s lace design is so much fun to knit!

Part 2:

Day 5 is an easy colorwork bauble with elongated stitches.

Day 6’s cables make interesting geometry on a stockinette background.

Day 7 is a textured bauble augmented with the smallest lace motif I could find.

Day 8 features columns of crisp twisted stitches interspersed with lace.

Part 3:
Day 9 is a textured bauble.

Day 10 sports a sweet lacey motif around its center.

Day 11 is a stranded bauble reminiscent of grandmother’s quilts.
